Responsibilities

Develop and implement advanced sensor algorithms for IMUs, radar, cameras, GPS, and other sensors.
Improve state-estimation algorithms through multi-sensor data integration.
Design and implement real-time sensor-data processing pipelines.
Collaborate with software engineers, autonomy researchers, and hardware engineers on system integration.
Conduct experiments and field tests to validate state-estimation performance.
Apply advances in sensor technologies and state estimation to Shield AI systems.
Optimize algorithms for compute-constrained systems and support transition from R&D to production.

Requirements

Typically requires 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, 4 years with a master’s degree, 2 years with a PhD, or equivalent work experience.
Experience developing and deploying real-time sensor-processing algorithms using cameras, radar, IMUs, GPS, or similar sensors.
Strong understanding of state-estimation techniques such as Kalman filters and particle filters.
Experience with C++ and Linux command-line tools.
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated record of shipping products and delivering high-quality solutions through development cycles.
Preferred experience implementing inertial-navigation algorithms on real-time processing systems.
Preferred knowledge of computer-vision techniques.
Preferred experience with CUDA or other hardware-acceleration technologies such as FPGAs.
Preferred experience transitioning R&D systems to production.
