Responsibilities

Bring up new hardware from scratch and develop device trees and boot chains.
Develop wireless firmware for ARM Cortex hardware platforms.
Manage firmware development across the product lifecycle and maintain product quality.
Influence the hardware design of future products.
Work with test engineers and other disciplines to resolve issues and support product development.
Track tasks, document work, and share firmware engineering best practices.
Occasionally provide technical support to customers, including on weekends or after hours.

Requirements

Formal qualifications in electronics or software engineering.
At least 5 years of firmware development experience.
Demonstrated programming experience with C, C++, and Python.
Experience with wireless communications standards and protocols including UWB, BLE, Wi-Fi, and long-range/low-bit-rate applications.
Experience developing, scaling, and supporting products throughout their entire lifecycle.
Experience bringing up new hardware from scratch.
Experience with Git source code management.
Strong attention to detail, self-starting ability, prioritization skills, and a can-do attitude.
Experience with Atlassian's platform for defect tracking and documentation is highly desired.
Experience in signal processing and algorithm design is highly desired.
Knowledge of Linux operating systems, particularly Yocto, is desired.
