Responsibilities

Design and architect flexible platform building blocks for the PagerDuty Platform.
Design, code, test, and ship secure, reliable, and scalable frontend interfaces and libraries.
Develop frontend architecture patterns that scale across the engineering organization.
Curate the frontend design system and collaborate with Product, UX, customers, partners, and other engineering teams.
Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
Mentor and teach frontend skills to other engineers.
Own and shepherd team projects and align stakeholders on technical direction.
Participate in the on-call team rotation.

Requirements

5+ years of experience building and managing web applications with a modern component-based framework.
Deep understanding of semantic HTML and client-side JavaScript.
Knowledge of frontend engineering areas including state management, performance, accessibility, styling, and infrastructure.
Strong experience designing and building REST APIs.
Experience with React, TypeScript, Node, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and AI-driven development.
Experience with public cloud engineering on AWS, Azure, or GCP platforms.
Ability to communicate clearly, facilitate technical discussions, and collaborate effectively.
Experience with a component library or design system, distributed React applications, or developer platforms is particularly valued.
Experience with agile delivery methodologies such as scrum, kanban, or lean is expected.
