Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain full stack software across frontend and backend systems.
Build innovative product features, including capabilities powered by large language models.
Contribute to data engineering pipelines and supporting infrastructure as needed.
Spend at least 75% of working time coding production-ready features, improving architecture, and reducing technical debt.
Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring, coaching, knowledge-sharing, and technical guidance.
Lead technical innovation in component reuse, extensibility, maintainability, and scalability.
Monitor production applications and proactively resolve client-impacting issues.
Contribute to the product-wide technical roadmap and cross-team technical initiatives.
Plan and execute end-to-end automated tests and help improve testing practices.
Collaborate with Product Owners to clarify requirements and design customer-focused features.
Participate in an on-call rotation in the future.

Requirements

At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience, including full stack development.
Deep experience with JavaScript and frontend frameworks such as Vue.js, React, or Angular, along with corresponding unit testing frameworks.
Professional development experience with Python.
Experience with SQL databases, Git, Docker, SQLAlchemy, cloud computing platforms, and AWS preferably.
Ability to make difficult technical decisions in ambiguous situations and awareness of current technology and software development trends.
Exposure to LLM features or operational research is an asset.
College education, professional training or a technical program in computer science or engineering, or demonstrated learning experience.
Strong French and English communication skills, including English fluency for collaboration outside Quebec.
Strong communication, collaboration, mentoring, and technical leadership skills.
