Responsibilities

Design, implement, and optimize GPU-based real-time visual effects and image-processing algorithms for video playback.
Develop Metal shaders and integrate AI/ML models into production image and video processing pipelines.
Prototype algorithms, profile performance, and optimize high-performance graphics and playback systems.
Ensure correctness across colorspaces and display targets.
Integrate new features into mature application frameworks without regressions.
Collaborate with video engineering, machine learning, and product design teams.

Requirements

5+ years of experience developing image and video processing algorithms, particularly for real-time or near-real-time applications.
Hands-on experience implementing and optimizing GPU-based visual effects for video playback pipelines.
Proficiency with Metal for GPU programming on Apple platforms.
Strong C/C++ skills and production software development experience with Objective-C or Swift.
Understanding of NLE playback pipelines, colorspace management, and display rendering.
Familiarity with node-based image-processing architectures and their trade-offs.
Familiarity with AI/ML-based image and video processing technologies and on-device model integration.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
Preferred: experience developing or adapting AI/ML models for image enhancement, style transfer, or video understanding.
Preferred: expertise with Core Image or AVFoundation, shipped real-time camera or video features on iOS, iPadOS, or macOS, and performance profiling using Xcode Instruments or GPU Frame Capture.
Preferred: experience with computational photography, color science, ICC profiles, or HDR/wide-color-gamut pipeline design.
