Responsibilities

  • Partner with software development teams to address application security requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Develop policies, guidelines, procedures, secure coding resources, and control documentation.
  • Develop and support automated DevSecOps security tooling, including embedding application security tools into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Operate static and dynamic analysis tools, triage false positives and false negatives, and help teams resolve identified issues.
  • Maintain strategies and roadmaps for automated DevSecOps security tooling and capabilities.
  • Support Security Champions and increase adoption of secure coding practices and tooling.
  • Report application security initiative results to leadership, product management, risk, and engineering stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across teams and business units in accordance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • 8–12 years of experience in Security Engineering with strong expertise in secure software development.
  • Expert knowledge of application security and software security concepts and frameworks, including OWASP and NIST SSDF.
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience using application security tools such as Snyk and GitHub Advanced Security is desirable.
  • Coding or programming experience, such as Python, is desirable.
  • Ability to balance security and business requirements when consulting with business and technical representatives.
  • Strong written communication skills and an understanding of risk management principles.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CSSLP and participation in relevant industry associations are desirable.
