Senior Software Development Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Own batching and real-time streaming systems handling large volumes of structured customer, product, and event data.
  • Build full-stack experiences and tools for data visualization, customer understanding, insight discovery, and action-taking.
  • Integrate Amperity services into customers’ core business operations.
  • Develop predictive analysis tools and real-time decisioning engines.
  • Build agentic tools for customers and an MCP enabling external AI tools to use the Amperity platform.
  • Build and scale production environments using the team’s cloud-first, multi-cloud architecture.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working with large-scale data-oriented systems.
  • Track record of building, scaling, and managing production environments.
  • Experience with Trino, Spark, Delta Lake, and Kubernetes is a bonus.
  • Interest in functional languages such as Clojure.
  • Passion for building elegant user experiences on top of complex technologies.
  • Curious about using AI coding tools such as Claude and Codex.
  • Collaborative, inclusive, open-minded, customer-focused approach.

Benefits

  • Base salary is $178,000-$245,000, with additional cash incentives and new-hire equity grants.
