Senior Software Engineer - Access Management in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate scalable authorization systems enforcing access control across the Databricks platform.
  • Own complex technical projects end-to-end from design through delivery and production operation.
  • Drive technical decisions and contribute to architectural direction for access management infrastructure.
  • Improve reliability, performance, and security for high-throughput, low-latency services.
  • Build fine-grained controls including scoped service identities, delegated access, role-based access control, and network ingress policies.
  • Collaborate across engineering and product teams to deliver unified authorization capabilities.
  • Mentor engineers and improve team engineering practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
  • Experience with one or more of Java, Scala, C++, or Go.
  • Understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, concurrency, microservices architecture, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with authorization systems, identity management, or security-focused infrastructure.
  • Ability to diagnose performance bottlenecks and perform root-cause analyses for production issues.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
