Senior Software Engineer in Canada

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, modify, test, implement, integrate, and maintain enterprise web applications.
  • Contribute to technical decisions, software design, coding, implementation, maintenance documentation, and design discussions.
  • Provide development and maintenance support across multiple projects throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Apply coding and quality standards, identify problems, recommend solutions, and support successful project completion.
  • Collaborate with clients and distributed teams while building effective relationships through clear written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
  • Handle confidential business information and focus on client needs and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software development experience with demonstrated and verifiable full-lifecycle experience delivering complex web-based products.
  • Strong experience designing and implementing multi-tier enterprise applications with C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET, and ADO.NET.
  • 5+ years of Angular 2+ and TypeScript experience, 3+ years with HTML5 and CSS3, and 3+ years developing with SQL Server.
  • Experience with unit testing using MSTest, NUnit, or equivalent; dependency injection frameworks; MVC, SOA, and object-oriented design patterns; and Scrum.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, including experience working in distributed teams.
  • Preferred qualifications include insurance industry experience, ACORD standards experience, technical consulting experience, JavaScript framework knowledge, Enterprise RIA experience, UI component library experience, and Microsoft .NET certifications.
