Senior Software Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Build and deliver full-stack web application projects end to end.
  • Design APIs and contribute to platform-building efforts.
  • Develop and support large distributed systems with observability, instrumentation, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with product stakeholders to refine requirements and advance projects.
  • Raise technical standards through code reviews, design reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
  • Full-stack web application experience with end-to-end project ownership.
  • Experience with Kotlin, Java, Python, or another backend language.
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or another major cloud provider.
  • Familiarity with relational databases and schema design.
  • Experience with large distributed systems and observability, instrumentation, and monitoring.
  • A commitment to code quality, engineering best practices, and polished execution.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teammates and product stakeholders.
  • Must be based in Chicago, Illinois and able to work on-site.
