Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, architecture, and end-to-end deployment of globally scalable storage features across Android clients and backend services.
  • Collaborate with Google teams to launch products integrating Google One, Google Photos, and the OEM ecosystem.
  • Use and promote agentic AI coding workflows to improve engineering velocity, code quality, and system reliability.
  • Debug and resolve complex full-stack issues while improving product experience, system health, and efficiency.
  • Advocate for high Android development and backend integration standards, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to technical standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of software development experience with one or more programming languages and data structures and algorithms.
  • At least 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products and 1 year of software design and architecture experience.
  • At least 3 years of Android full-stack development experience.
  • Preferred experience with Android application development using Kotlin or Java and scalable backend services or APIs.
  • Experience with API design, mobile-backend agreements, client-server architecture, and Android performance and latency optimization.
  • Experience with or enthusiasm for agentic AI coding frameworks, LLM-assisted coding, and automated development workflows.
  • Familiarity with subscription platforms, cloud storage and management tools, or OEM and partner ecosystem integrations.
