Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and evolve backend services and game logic for scalable gaming products.
  • Translate product and game-design requirements into robust technical solutions and provide constructive feedback.
  • Build clean, maintainable, well-tested software that minimizes defects and supports future growth.
  • Own technical decisions, contribute to planning and architecture discussions, and participate in retrospectives.
  • Implement domain logic, business rules, and game-related mechanics in production systems.
  • Take ownership of features from technical design through production.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers and support strong engineering practices across the team.
  • Evaluate and integrate AI-assisted development tools while ensuring generated code is correct, secure, and maintainable.

Requirements

  • Strong professional software engineering experience focused on backend development and production-grade systems.
  • Strong Java experience and hands-on Spring Boot experience, including REST APIs, configuration, and security fundamentals.
  • Understanding of object-oriented design, clean code, and SOLID design principles.
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining backend services in production environments.
  • Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases, including schema design, efficient queries, and indexing.
  • Experience with domain logic, business rules, or game-related mechanics in scalable systems.
  • Familiarity with Git, code reviews, pull requests, and modern development workflows.
  • Knowledge of messaging and event-driven systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Practical Docker experience, including image building, local development, and containerized services.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated unit and integration testing.
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems, communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and balance quality with speed and maintainability.
  • Willingness to mentor engineers and work in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Experience with game development, casino games, virtual sports, betting products, or real-time and high-availability entertainment systems is preferred.
  • Kubernetes, Helm, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and experience with scalable architecture are preferred.
  • Experience using AI tools in software development and understanding their limitations is preferred.

  • Minimum monthly salary follows the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement, with overpayment considered based on qualifications and experience.
