Responsibilities

Build and scale test automation frameworks, runners, orchestration services, device-farm integrations, and supporting infrastructure.
Develop AI-native tooling for test authoring, selection, execution, maintenance, failure triage, and automated debugging.
Build systems connecting test planning, selection, execution, and failure analysis while balancing coverage, confidence, execution time, and infrastructure cost.
Integrate automated quality checks and actionable test feedback into development and CI/CD workflows.
Own technical initiatives from problem definition and design through implementation, deployment, adoption, measurement, and improvement.
Collaborate with application, platform, QA, infrastructure, and developer productivity teams.

Requirements

Experience designing, building, testing, and operating production software in large codebases.
Strong programming skills in C++, Python, Go, or another modern programming language, with emphasis on maintainable, reliable, well-tested code.
Ability to own projects, communicate technical decisions clearly, collaborate across teams, and improve the experience of engineers using internal tools.
Preferred: experience with cross-platform test automation frameworks such as Appium or Selenium, including mobile, desktop, or game testing.
Preferred: experience applying LLMs, agents, or other AI techniques to developer tools and testing workflows.
Preferred: experience integrating automated quality checks into large-scale software development workflows.

Office-based roles are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence Monday and Friday.
For headquarters-based roles in San Mateo, California, the stated annual base salary range is $196,750—$243,290 USD.

Salary: $197k - $243k/yr
