Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable distributed services and foundational components for cross-cloud and enterprise data federation.
Own complex initiatives end to end, from architectural design and prototype validation through reviews and global production rollout.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship, including design reviews, engineering best practices, and operational excellence.
Communicate architecture, project status, and technical trade-offs to engineering, product management, site reliability, and external partners.
Influence the BigLake Federation technical roadmap in collaboration with global engineering leads.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
At least 5 years of software development experience using one or more general-purpose programming languages such as C++, Java, Go, or Python.
Experience in system design, distributed systems, or large-scale data processing.
Preferred experience with cloud platforms, multi-cloud environments, or big data technologies.
Preferred experience with open-source data ecosystems such as Apache Iceberg or Apache Spark, or enterprise data platforms such as Workday or Salesforce.
Demonstrated technical leadership, including driving ambiguous initiatives from design to production and mentoring engineers.
Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
