Senior Software Engineer, Frontend in Canada

Responsibilities

  • Translate requirements into frontend solutions, collaborate across teams, manage projects, and create high-level designs.
  • Improve existing applications to support requests from restaurants and internal users.
  • Build new user experiences using modern frontend tools.
  • Develop, test, debug, refactor, and optimize robust advertising and marketing products.
  • Ship and support features used by restaurant partners and diners in real time.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, frontend engineers, and Java backend engineers.
  • Contribute ideas and help deliver initiatives that improve the experience of restaurateurs and diners.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and React.
  • Experience creating web experiences with semantic HTML and CSS.
  • Experience refining end-user and developer experiences.
  • Experience refactoring code, optimizing software, debugging, and writing tests with strong coverage.
  • Knowledge of unit, integration, and acceptance testing.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals and understanding of data structures and object-oriented design.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including working with developers, designers, and product owners at all career levels.
  • Self-starter mindset and willingness to seek collaboration or pairing support.
