Responsibilities

Own and evolve the architecture and roadmap of a shared performance testing platform.
Design, build, and maintain reusable performance testing components and frameworks using Gatling, Scala, Python, and Locust.
Build and improve test orchestration, environment provisioning, reporting, and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Groovy, Docker, and AWS.
Define technical standards and performance testing best practices and provide code reviews, technical guidance, and mentorship.
Troubleshoot performance, framework, and environment issues, lead root-cause analysis, and use data to validate improvements.
Design and execute performance testing strategies for iOS and Android applications and evaluate mobile performance metrics.

Requirements

At least 5 years of software engineering experience, ideally including performance, load, or scalability testing.
Strong Python programming skills and Scala experience or willingness to work with both languages.
Hands-on experience testing REST APIs and distributed, cloud-hosted systems.
Practical experience with AWS or another major cloud platform and Docker.
Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or TeamCity, including Groovy pipeline scripting.
Preferred experience with shared internal testing frameworks or platforms, performance observability and analytics tools such as Kibana or Grafana, and load, stress, spike, soak, and endurance testing.
Experience with POS, retail, or enterprise-scale distributed systems and technical leadership or mentorship is a bonus.
