Responsibilities

  • Design and architect scalable cloud infrastructure, platform services, and deployment systems capable of supporting 10X growth and 99.999% availability.
  • Build self-service application deployment automation and infrastructure-as-code solutions for end-to-end cloud operations.
  • Own the reliability, scalability, performance, optimization, and operational excellence of cloud architecture and platform services.
  • Analyze distributed production deployments and recommend improvements to performance, automation, network usage, role management, CDN, domains, and cloud security.
  • Develop infrastructure roadmaps and technical vision while influencing multiple engineering teams and collaborating with customers, stakeholders, and lead engineers.
  • Solve complex infrastructure problems across AWS, Azure, GCP, and private cloud environments.
  • Provide architecture artifacts, cloud infrastructure guidance, machine-type recommendations, network designs, and deployment strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 7+ years of total experience.
  • Preferred bachelor's and/or master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with 15+ years of hands-on cloud platform engineering experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, Cloud DevOps, Cloud SRE, infrastructure-as-code, cloud infrastructure engineering, or high-performance distributed systems.
  • 7+ years of experience leading system design and architecture using AWS or Azure services.
  • 7+ years of experience building and managing highly available, scalable hybrid-cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, Python or Go, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, and cloud deployment automation.
  • Experience with AWS or equivalent cloud services, infrastructure automation, continuous integration servers, monitoring, and testing tools.
  • AWS advanced architecting or developing certification is preferred.
  • Team leadership experience and excellent cross-group collaboration, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
