Software Development Engineer - Cellular | in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy cellular software using modern software engineering practices.
  • Develop across cellular protocol stack layers, including upper-layer interfaces and lower-layer implementations.
  • Debug software and work with cross-functional teams to determine effective solutions for Apple products.
  • Support users with product bring-up and deployment.
  • Travel internationally approximately 10% of the time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree or higher is valued.
  • Understanding of cellular protocol stacks, particularly 5G, and wireless communications coursework is preferred.
  • Software development and debugging experience with C, C++, and Python.
  • Experience with multiprocessing and multithreading implementations.
  • Experience developing distributed service-based software architectures.
  • Fundamentals in object-oriented software design and testing techniques.
  • Three or more years of industry experience or equivalent preferred.
  • Recent hands-on cellular software development experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of fundamental RF systems concepts preferred.
  • Familiarity with Matlab and Python scripting and debugging preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to learn.
