Software Development Engineer in Test in USA

Responsibilities

  • Learn how to interact with the IEX Exchange using the existing platform.
  • Develop dashboards and tooling to enhance and test the exchange platform through a full-stack project.
  • Identify and propose platform enhancements based on direct observation and analysis.
  • Collaborate with Core Development, Data Engineering, Market Ops, SRE, Business Development, and Regulatory teams to gather requirements and improve their workflows.
  • Troubleshoot issues and help advance technology development, exchange products, and regulatory initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Java.
  • Comfort with scripting, building, deploying, and configuring software in a Linux environment.
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn unfamiliar concepts quickly and work effectively across business lines.
  • JavaScript, Node.js, and SQL experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with financial markets is helpful but not required.
  • Interest in market structure and electronic trading is a bonus.
