Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and the Spring ecosystem.
  • Build responsive web interfaces using Angular and React.
  • Architect and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices for high availability and low latency.
  • Implement business logic, data models, and optimized PostgreSQL schemas and queries.
  • Deploy and manage cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Build CI/CD pipelines, package applications with Docker, and automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform or GCP Cloud Deployment Manager.
  • Configure logging, tracing, monitoring, and alerting using Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level developers and promote engineering excellence through code reviews, testing, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and architects to implement business goals.
  • Participate in and lead Sprint Planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 6+ years of professional software development experience with Java.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
  • 6+ years of experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
  • 6+ years of experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Preferred qualifications include production experience with Angular or React single-page applications.
  • Preferred qualifications include a Google Cloud certification, GitOps workflows, container security scanning, Tekton, ArgoCD, Test-Driven Development, pair programming, and continuous integration.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with Apache Kafka or Google Cloud Pub/Sub.
