Responsibilities

Develop and maintain C++ flight software for Neutron’s autonomous Flight Termination System.
Develop support code and tools for build, deployment, unit testing, system testing, simulation, data analysis, and operations.
Contribute to software requirements, architecture, design, algorithms, traceability, interface documentation, and technical reports.
Participate in testing, test automation, system integration, launch operations, safety assessments, reviews, and risk mitigation.
Work with safety, reliability, quality, licensing, regulatory, certification, and verification teams.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge.
At least 3 years of software development experience.
Proficiency in embedded systems development with C++ and Python for test and simulation support.
Experience with safety-critical software or software development in a regulated environment.
Experience with deployment and CI tooling, Git, and issue trackers.
Strong engineering documentation, communication, analytical, and deadline-management skills.
Preferred qualifications include flight safety systems or launch vehicle experience; safety standards such as DO-178, IEC 62304, ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or EN 50128; requirements traceability; Linux; CMake or Bazel; real-time or bare-metal development; MISRA; static analysis; hardware-in-the-loop testing; serial or network protocols; regulatory or certification liaison; and Jira.
