Software Engineer - Connectors in UK

Responsibilities

  • Design and architect connectors for the Neo4j database.
  • Build and maintain connectors for a variety of technologies and environments.
  • Design streaming and data-ingestion APIs that improve Neo4j usability and performance.
  • Collaborate across teams to enhance core database features when necessary.
  • Occasionally build frontend interfaces for connectors or integrations requiring user interaction.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience developing production-level software.
  • Experience designing multithreaded systems and algorithms.
  • Hands-on backend programming experience with Kotlin, Java, or Go.
  • Ideally, professional experience with distributed event streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka.
  • Ideally, experience with data processing and analytics platforms such as Apache Spark or Apache Beam.
  • Ideally, experience with cloud data warehouses such as AWS Redshift, GCP BigQuery, or Azure Synapse.
  • Nice to have experience with graph databases such as Neo4j or other SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Nice to have frontend development experience with React and TypeScript.
