Responsibilities

Build backend services and APIs for the Earnings Dashboard and other payments features.
Develop data and services supporting Host performance metrics, recommendations, and reports.
Implement experimentation, logging, and metrics to measure product and business impact.
Translate product, compliance, and regulatory requirements into clean, well-tested code.
Use data to identify conversion, Host engagement, and reliability gaps and drive improvements.
Architect and implement complex features with attention to performance optimization.
Collaborate with Product, Design, Data Science, Finance, Legal, and engineering teams.
Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and operational improvements.
Help define coding standards, development processes, and engineering best practices.

Requirements

At least 2 years of hands-on software engineering experience in backend or full-stack development.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Exposure to Java and experience building services in a distributed microservice environment.
Fluency in frontend web technologies such as HTML, CSS, React, and GraphQL.
Demonstrated expertise in backend systems within large-scale service-oriented architectures.
Strong focus on efficiency, availability, technical quality, and system quality.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across engineering and cross-functional organizations.

Benefits

US remote eligible, with occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites as agreed with the manager.
Base pay range of $160,000–$180,000 USD.
May be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
Remote work requires residence in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.
