Responsibilities

Develop reliable flight software controlling spacecraft, satellite bus, and reentry capsule operations throughout the mission.
Write structured bare-metal, RTOS, or Linux-based embedded processor software in C++.
Own software design, testing, and integration from requirements capture through flight operational support.
Scope projects and perform requirements capture and initial design trades for open-ended problems.
Ensure software quality and performance through testing, verification, and validation techniques.
Collaborate with the team to communicate and solve problems.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, physics, engineering, or equivalent technical experience in safety-critical software.
At least 3 years of experience developing spacecraft or similar safety-critical software.
Experience developing in C++ with a strong understanding of its language concepts.
Preferred experience building and launching a spacecraft and developing and testing real-time embedded systems.
Preferred experience with aerospace safety-critical software, CCSDS telemetry and telecommand systems, and F' or cFS.
Preferred Python or Rust experience, basic analog and digital electronics knowledge, and familiarity with SPI, I2C, CAN, and EtherCAT.
