Responsibilities

Develop reliable flight software governing spacecraft, satellite bus, and reentry capsule operations throughout missions.
Write structured C++ software for bare-metal, RTOS-based, and Linux-based embedded processors.
Own software design, testing, integration, verification, and validation.
Scope projects, capture requirements, and perform initial design trades for open-ended problems.
Support software quality and performance through testing, verification, and validation techniques.
Collaborate with the team to communicate and solve problems.
Provide software support across development and flight operations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, physics, or engineering, or equivalent technical experience in safety-critical software.
At least 3 years of experience developing spacecraft or similar safety-critical software.
Experience developing in C++ with a strong understanding of its language concepts.
Preferred: end-to-end experience building and launching a spacecraft.
Preferred: experience developing and testing real-time embedded systems and safety-critical aerospace software.
Preferred: experience with CCSDS telemetry and telecommand systems, F' or cFS, Python or Rust, basic analog and digital electronics, and SPI, I2C, CAN, or EtherCAT.

Salary: $144k - $184k/yr
