Responsibilities

Build Android applications from architecture through design and development.
Develop software for field mapping, data collection, sensor networks, street navigation, and related use cases.
Optimize mobile application performance and caching and solve complex design, development, and user-experience problems.
Collaborate with developers and designers throughout the development process and participate in design and code reviews.
Drive Android technical direction, mentor others, advocate for Android development, and help expand the company’s Android capabilities.
Understand user requirements and design applications for real-world field scenarios.

Requirements

5+ years of commercial software development experience.
Experience developing on the Android platform and programming in Kotlin.
Object-oriented design skills and knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
Knowledge of mobile development issues involving performance optimization and caching.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics.
Good communication skills, teamwork, adaptability, and the ability to work independently.
