Responsibilities

  • Advise on AI security trends, models, architectures, governance, attacks, guardrails, and regulatory considerations.
  • Partner with engineering, application security, and architecture teams to secure AI-enabled products and internal AI productivity initiatives.
  • Design and implement AI guardrails and controls to reduce data loss and prevent insecure or unapproved AI use.
  • Guide security teams in using AI for security benefits and maintain employee-facing AI security documentation and guidance.
  • Lead complex security initiatives across infrastructure, applications, and the corporate environment.
  • Architect, build, and deploy scalable security solutions and automated workflows that enable secure software delivery.
  • Identify security posture gaps, develop remediation plans, execute them to maturity, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.

Requirements

  • At least 9 years of dedicated experience in security engineering, application security, infrastructure security, data security, or cloud security.
  • Proven ability to turn ambiguous security problems into structured project plans and execute them to completion.
  • Deep expertise in AI security, including AWS services, LLMs, MCP, agentic agents, frameworks, governance, regulations, attacks, guardrails, and costs.
  • Strong experience with Amazon Web Services, particularly AWS security services.
  • Strong understanding of authentication and authorization protocols and securing non-human identities.
  • Strong communication, analytical, collaborative, relationship-building, and learning skills.
  • Software engineering background is a strong plus.
  • Preferred qualifications include AI security certifications such as AAISM, AAIA, or CAISP; knowledge of the NIST AI Framework, EU Artificial Intelligence Act, MITRE ATLAS, or OWASP Top 10 for LLMs; and a bachelor’s or master’s degree focused on information systems, computer science, or security.

  • United States base salary range of $159,000—$249,000, with the specific range determined by location, skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions.
