Responsibilities

  • Develop and operate backend distributed services for Coupang’s NCA and TW advertising products.
  • Lead the architecture and core development of LLM- and multimodal-model-based multi-agent systems.
  • Design long-running agent hosting, sandbox execution environments, layered context management, persistent storage, and function-calling orchestration.
  • Deliver complex Agent/RAG systems end to end, from solution design through production deployment.
  • Build and operate GenAI video-creative generation, AIOps fault diagnosis, ranking-algorithm improvement, and AI-native SDLC automation systems.
  • Translate advances in memory, long context, planning, and tool use from research into production engineering solutions.

Requirements

  • Strong theoretical and practical experience developing backend distributed services.
  • Proficiency in Java or Python and experience designing and launching large-scale distributed systems.
  • Understanding of asynchronous processing, concurrency, idempotency, rate limiting, code quality, and maintainable system design.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with large language model architectures, attention mechanisms, MoE, and model serving.
  • Experience leading architecture and core development for LLM or multimodal multi-agent systems.
  • End-to-end production delivery experience with complex Agent/RAG systems.
  • Familiarity with self-harness, memory, long context, planning, and tool-use technologies.
  • Experience with at least one AI development or agent framework, such as LangChain, LangGraph, Deerflow, Claude Code, or Hermes.
  • Strong software architecture and design-pattern fundamentals, high-concurrency and high-availability backend design capability, and some ability to read open-source framework source code.
  • A background in computer science, mathematics, physics, electronics, or a related field is preferred; strong learning ability and independent problem-solving skills are also expected.
