Staff Software Engineer in Others

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the architectural vision and technical roadmap for a major UI platform subsystem.
  • Review high-impact technical proposals and cross-team interface specifications.
  • Drive alignment across multiple product teams and translate product strategy into technical architecture.
  • Mentor Senior Engineers and establish best practices for continuous learning.
  • Build reusable components, design patterns, shared libraries, and developer tools for world-ready UIs and APIs.
  • Implement complex foundational platform components while ensuring technical quality, accessibility, scalability, and maintainability.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software development experience.
  • Expertise in software architecture and implementation with strong development experience in Java, Python, or C++.
  • Significant experience with frameworks such as Spring, React.js, or Node.js.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering design principles and practices for scalable, maintainable systems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Preferred: experience defining and implementing internationalization and localization strategies for large-scale enterprise applications.
  • Preferred: specialized knowledge of Unicode, ISO standards, and localization frameworks.
  • Preferred: familiarity with globalization testing processes and experience on a platform team that treats developers as customers.
