Responsibilities

Own the frontend platform behind the operator UI, including the application shell, design system, and shared data layer.
Define the architecture and contribution model for domain teams to ship UI modules into one cohesive application.
Lead consolidation of multiple frontends into a unified operator platform.
Build high-performance real-time interfaces that render live hardware telemetry under strict performance and safety budgets.
Set frontend technical direction and quality standards across the organization.
Mentor engineers and raise the technical level of the frontend team.

Requirements

Typically 8+ years of experience building production web applications.
Deep expertise in TypeScript and React.
Experience owning a frontend platform, design system, or large shared codebase used by other teams.
Strong frontend performance skills, including profiling, render optimization, and maintaining responsiveness under continuous data loads.
Experience architecting state management and data flow for data-intensive applications, including technologies such as Redux, streaming/WebSocket data, and Web Workers.
Ability to set cross-team architecture and technical direction and mentor senior engineers.
Experience with real-time data visualization, charting, industrial control, SCADA, or hardware-in-the-loop systems is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with binary streaming protocols such as WebSockets and protobuf, Web Workers, Bazel, or Monaco is preferred but not required.
