Responsibilities

Champion best practices in web and backend development, including architecture, testing, CI/CD, and performance optimization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact CommSec platform features and improvements.
Drive technical strategy and architectural decisions across web and backend systems.
Design scalable, maintainable, reliable, observable, and secure systems.
Partner with product, design, operations, and other stakeholders to align goals and deliver customer outcomes.
Promote innovation, inclusion, and psychological safety within the engineering team.
Provide technical consultation on product and feature design and support delivery of key products and solutions.

Requirements

Strong system design and software architecture skills.
Experience building scalable applications with TypeScript and React.
Experience designing and running APIs with C# and .NET Core.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or similar SQL/NoSQL databases.
Demonstrated ownership of systems end to end.
Knowledge of reliability, observability, security, testing, performance optimization, and production operations.
Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS; Azure or GCP experience is also relevant.
Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, monitoring, and alerting is beneficial.
