Staff Software Engineer - UI Platform in USA

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the architectural vision and technical roadmap for a major UI platform subsystem.
  • Review high-impact designs and cross-team interface specifications for technical integrity and maintainability.
  • Drive alignment and resolve technical ambiguity across multiple product teams.
  • Build reusable components, shared libraries, robust design patterns, and foundational platform systems.
  • Mentor Senior Engineers and establish engineering best practices.
  • Contribute hands-on to implementation and ensure the technical quality of complex platform components.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of software development experience.
  • Expertise in software architecture and implementation with strong development experience in Java, Python, or C++.
  • Significant experience with frameworks such as Spring, React.js, or Node.js.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering design principles and practices for scalable, maintainable systems.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Preferred experience with internationalization and localization strategies for large-scale enterprise applications.
  • Preferred familiarity with globalization, accessibility tooling processes, UI build tooling, CLIs, design systems, and developer-focused platform teams.
  • Must work on U.S. soil and qualify as a U.S. person under the stated federal definitions.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range of $194,000–$267,000 for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
