Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and own architecture, engineering standards, and implementation strategy for distributed teams.
  • Remain hands-on by developing with TypeScript and Node.js and building scalable applications and services in Microsoft Azure.
  • Lead technical design discussions, code reviews, debugging, and resolution of complex engineering challenges.
  • Coordinate priorities, architecture, standards, dependencies, and delivery expectations across teams in Los Angeles, Mexico, and India.
  • Partner with product, delivery, client stakeholders, and engineering leaders to translate requirements into engineering solutions.
  • Improve code quality, testing, deployment, observability, and maintainability practices.
  • Promote effective use of AI-assisted development tools and identify opportunities for AI capabilities in applications and workflows.
  • Mentor engineers and raise the team's overall technical capability.

Requirements

  • Strong experience as a Technical Lead, Lead Software Engineer, or Senior Software Engineer with technical leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong hands-on development experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
  • Experience designing and delivering production applications in Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong understanding of application architecture, APIs, cloud services, and distributed systems.
  • Experience leading or coordinating engineers across multiple locations or time zones.
  • Ability to balance hands-on engineering with technical leadership and team coordination.
  • Strong code review, debugging, architecture, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Experience using Claude or similar AI coding tools is preferred.
  • Experience implementing AI- or LLM-powered production functionality and familiarity with AI development patterns, APIs, agents, or developer tooling are preferred.
  • Experience with teams distributed across the US, Mexico, and India, and consulting or client-facing engineering experience, are preferred.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

  • Onsite schedule requiring four days per week between Downtown Los Angeles and Beverly Hills based on business needs.

Salary: $150k - $180k/yr
