Autonomous Vehicle Embedded Software Engineer in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle for embedded software on unmanned robotic vehicles.
  • Develop features for embedded applications involving vehicle control, programmable actuators, and perception sensors.
  • Diagnose and correct defects, perform continuous refactoring, and support fielded systems.
  • Participate in systems engineering and software integration activities.
  • Write understandable, reusable C and C++ code using design patterns and SOLID principles.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and system simulation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience designing and implementing embedded, real-time software systems using C/C++ for embedded processors.
  • Familiarity with large multithreaded embedded applications running on an RTOS.
  • Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems, device drivers, flash programming tools, and unmanned vehicle systems.
  • Knowledge of TCP, UDP, Controller Area Network (CAN), SPI, RS232, ROS/ROS2, GPS, LIDAR, RADAR, and ultrasonic sensor interfacing.
  • Understanding of Agile software development concepts and processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
