Software Engineer, Engine Productivity in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve full and patch-level code-coverage reporting pipelines.
  • Build diagnostics and reporting pipelines that surface engine-test health.
  • Maintain cross-platform unit-test harnesses, including for PS4 and PS5.
  • Maintain the ReferenceClient and extend it to new integration-test scenarios.
  • Ship improvements to the buck2 test system.
  • Partner with senior and staff engineers to improve C++ unit testing.
  • Drive cross-org and cross-team initiatives through completion.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience building software systems through internships or industry experience.
  • Strong coding fundamentals in C/C++ and Python or a similar language for tooling, diagnostics, and data pipelines.
  • Genuine interest in debugging and program internals, including build output, generated code, harness behavior, and runtime behavior.
  • Conceptual familiarity with build configurations and why configurations diverge.
  • Strong data sense and ability to evaluate whether aggregations answer the right question.
  • Track record of driving cross-org or cross-team initiatives to completion.

Salary: $153k - $197k/yr
