Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable, fault-tolerant, performance-critical backend applications and APIs serving millions of users daily.
  • Direct significant company-wide projects and set technical vision.
  • Make architectural decisions and establish technical standards and direction for the team.
  • Implement advanced CI/CD pipelines and robust testing strategies for seamless integration, deployment, and high code quality.
  • Continuously improve software development practices, knowledge, and skills.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of production experience developing performance-critical applications using Scala, Java, Kotlin, or relevant modern programming languages.
  • Strong knowledge of relational database management systems, including SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or equivalent systems.
  • Ability to direct significant company-wide projects and set technical vision.
  • Deep involvement in architectural decisions and setting team standards and direction.
  • Good command of the English language.
  • Preferred: knowledge of NoSQL databases, queueing systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or MSMQ, and the Play framework.
