Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable, fault-tolerant, performance-critical backend applications and APIs serving millions of users daily.
  • Direct significant company-wide projects and set technical vision and team standards.
  • Make architectural decisions and guide the technical direction of the team.
  • Implement advanced CI/CD pipelines and robust testing strategies for reliable integration, deployment, and code quality.
  • Continuously improve software development practices and technical knowledge.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience developing performance-critical applications in a production environment using Scala, Java, Kotlin, or relevant modern programming languages.
  • Strong knowledge of relational database management systems, including SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or equivalent systems.
  • Ability to direct significant company-wide projects and set technical vision.
  • Strong English-language communication skills.
  • Deep involvement in architectural decisions and setting team standards and direction.
  • Preferred: knowledge of NoSQL systems, queueing systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or MSMQ, and Play Framework.
