Responsibilities

Own the full product lifecycle from business requirements and technology selection through coding, testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and maintenance.
Design, develop, and maintain fintech backend platforms, scalable data pipelines, and storage solutions.
Build stable, scalable, and highly performant systems for financial technology applications.
Improve code quality and mentor engineers across the team and wider organization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance product and technology goals.
Lead projects, initiatives, and teams with full ownership of the systems involved.
Recruit and onboard exceptional talent.

Requirements

10+ years of experience developing high-performance production applications.
Strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Scala, or C#.
Experience with Hadoop, Apache Spark, SQL, data architecture, and large-scale distributed systems.
Understanding of system edge cases, failure modes, lifecycles, operational excellence, metrics, alarms, and dashboards.
Experience with Scrum or Agile development methodologies.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Preferred experience in modern fintech or payments organizations and domains such as reconciliation, reporting, tax, virtual credit cards, or customer payments.
Preferred hands-on experience with Spark, ETL data pipelines, Kafka, RabbitMQ, GitLab, and Kubernetes.
Preferred experience leading projects, initiatives, or teams with full system ownership.
