Principal Software Engineer in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, architecture, and development of a multi-tenant cloud-based data platform.
  • Collaborate with product management and cross-functional stakeholders to align technical strategy, roadmap, requirements, and execution plans.
  • Drive engineering and operational excellence through scalable, secure, high-performance, fault-tolerant, and automated systems.
  • Maintain 24/7 system availability and support rapid resolution of customer issues in a full DevOps model.
  • Evaluate and optimize engineering processes, development practices, and cloud technologies across providers.
  • Lead technical programs, design reviews, architectural guidance, and cross-functional blocker resolution.
  • Mentor junior engineers and help develop engineering talent.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience building and managing large-scale cloud-based data platforms, with expertise in distributed systems and data architecture.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Java or alternatives such as Go and Python, with deep expertise in REST APIs, RDBMS, document stores, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions within a functional domain.
  • Experience driving cross-team technical programs, owning design reviews, resolving blockers, and producing architectural guidance.
  • Experience partnering with product management and cross-team stakeholders to translate requirements into execution plans.
  • Preferred qualifications include AI-enabled operational efficiency, Grafana and Prometheus, test frameworks and unit testing, and mentoring or developing engineering talent.
  • Advanced degrees and industry certifications are advantageous.
