Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-native services and microservices.
Build highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
Own service components and deliver medium-sized features from design through deployment.
Debug production issues, participate in incident response and on-call rotations, and conduct postmortem activities.
Analyze performance, capacity, availability, error budgets, and reliability, implementing targeted improvements.
Build automation, monitoring, alerting, documentation, samples, and adoption guidance to improve operational excellence.
Participate in software design reviews, code reviews, technical discussions, and cross-functional collaboration.
Mentor interns and junior engineers on day-to-day engineering practices.
Continuously improve engineering practices, tooling, and development processes.

Requirements

Strong programming skills in Java, Go, C++, Python, or a similar language.
Solid understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, multithreading, asynchronous programming, cloud computing, and service-oriented architectures.
Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern development practices.
Understanding of system security, authentication protocols, and compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP and PCI DSS.
Preferred experience with Identity and Access Management systems, production cloud services, public cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP, observability tools, and applied cryptography.
Ability to independently deliver medium-sized features, resolve production issues with limited guidance, communicate technical tradeoffs, and make sound technical decisions.
