Responsibilities

Build scalable microservices and data-driven platforms.
Design and develop backend distributed systems for high-scale, low-latency advertising infrastructure.
Create solutions using public cloud technologies and APIs.
Tune systems for high-scale performance and work with relational and non-relational data stores.
Use data processing technologies such as Kafka, Spark, and Flink.
Collaborate with and lead cross-functional teams.
Develop privacy-preserving, user-centric advertising technology across Apple Services.

Requirements

At least 5 years of industry experience building scalable microservices or data-driven platforms.
Strong computer science fundamentals and problem-solving and debugging skills.
Prior object-oriented programming experience, such as Java or C++.
Familiarity with cloud paradigms such as AWS or GCP.
Expertise building backend distributed systems.
Experience creating solutions with public cloud technologies and APIs.
Strong understanding of microservice design and high-scale performance tuning.
Expertise with relational and non-relational datastores.
Proficiency in data processing technologies such as Kafka, Spark, or Flink.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.
Master's degree, Java proficiency, cross-functional leadership experience, and advertising-industry experience are preferred or advantageous.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
