Responsibilities

Build highly available, secure, distributed systems in a microservice architecture.
Design, develop, test, and maintain systems representing complex logistics entities and workflows.
Architect and drive major projects involving multiple stakeholders and phased rollouts.
Translate complex business problems into technical solutions with business partners and product managers.
Build and launch products rapidly through incremental production releases.
Mentor engineers and educate the broader software engineering community.
Maintain a high quality bar through metrics, operational learning, and post-mortems.
Resolve system-level issues, simplify designs, and help extract services from legacy monolithic code.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience writing software and a strong engineering background.
At least 3 years of design and architecture experience, including object-oriented analysis and design patterns.
Experience building large-scale, high-performance systems in complex, multi-tiered, distributed environments.
Knowledge of at least one of Java, Kotlin, Ruby, Python, or C++.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Preferred qualifications include performance, load balancing, and operational knowledge; experience delivering large cross-team projects; strong software engineering practices; and the ability to mentor junior engineers.
A master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
