Senior Software Engineer, Data Backend in Others

Responsibilities

  • Develop and operate data warehouse systems and ETL pipelines for data access, collection, processing, storage, and analysis.
  • Manage deployments of the platform on public clouds across hundreds of global instances.
  • Build and support big data and machine learning platform components using Apache Spark, Hudi, Trino, and related technologies.
  • Lay the foundation for the platform and propose solutions to improve software development and monitoring.
  • Handle hundreds of terabytes of data.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science.
  • At least 2 years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems or applications.
  • Experience building ETL pipelines with Apache Spark.
  • Experience managing a data lake or data warehouse.
  • Expertise in developing data structures and algorithms on big data platforms.
  • Ability to work effectively and independently in a dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Five or more years of Internet industry experience is preferred.
  • Open-source contributions are preferred.
  • Experience with Scala or Java is preferred.
  • Experience with Hadoop, Hive, Flink, Presto/Trino, and related big data systems is preferred.
  • Experience with public clouds such as AWS or GCP is preferred.
