Responsibilities

Lead test strategy and quality architecture across the order-processing domain from unit testing through service-level, contract, and end-to-end coverage.
Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks, test infrastructure, and test data strategies.
Own end-to-end test coverage across services, event streams, platforms, and user interfaces.
Collaborate with Product Managers and engineers on requirements, design testability, acceptance criteria, and early risk identification.
Own contract testing, regression suites, performance testing, load testing, and resilience testing.
Build and maintain CI test pipelines, including flakiness triage, parallelization, and test-result reporting.
Partner with QA and engineering teams to improve quality, release confidence, and escaped-defect rates.
Mentor engineers and drive technical testing and software-quality best practices.
Handle PHI and complete required HIPAA, compliance, and security training within the stated onboarding timeline.

Requirements

5+ years of software test engineering or SDET experience with production-grade Java coding skills.
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
Strong Apache Kafka experience, including producer and consumer contract tests, event replay, and idempotency validation.
Experience designing end-to-end coverage across multiple services, platforms, events, and UI surfaces.
Hands-on Playwright experience for browser-based end-to-end automation.
Extensive experience with Test-Driven Development, Behavior-Driven Development, and contract testing using Pact or Spring Cloud Contract.
Experience with AWS-based software testing, GraphQL API testing, relational and NoSQL databases, microservices, CI/CD, Docker, Linux, shell scripting, and distributed-systems observability.
Experience with Java test tooling including JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers, RestAssured or Karate, WireMock, Cucumber, Gatling or k6, and Pact.
Experience using AI-assisted testing workflows such as Claude, Cursor, MCPs, AI Agents, and Skills.
Familiarity with the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Data and Spring Security.
Experience working with remote and hybrid teams, including overseas contractors, plus mentoring, leadership, analytical, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
Must pass a post-offer criminal background check and maintain required company training status.
