Responsibilities

  • Profile, debug, and enhance the RCS protocol stack and client-side architecture to maximize throughput and minimize latency.
  • Design robust systems that handle massive concurrency and maintain interoperability across global networks.
  • Architect and optimize high-definition video experiences across Android, iOS, and device ecosystems.
  • Build large-scale messaging capabilities including high-resolution image sharing, live typing indicators, read receipts, and interactive business messaging.
  • Drive optimizations for message delivery speed, latency, battery consumption, and reliability under peak global traffic.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development in mobile systems, network protocols such as SIP, IMS, or RCS, or high-performance application engineering.
  • 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
  • 5 years of full-stack development experience across backend Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases and frontend JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
  • Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.
  • Preferred: Master's or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Preferred: experience with real-time communication technologies, distributed systems, backend services, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, telecommunication standards such as SIP and MSRP, DTLS, MLS, and end-to-end encryption.

Benefits

  • US base salary is listed at $207000-$300000, with a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
