Responsibilities

Develop and maintain reliable, scalable, secure applications, services, and APIs.
Design and manage data platforms, application components, integrations, and storage solutions.
Build and support data pipelines that provide data durability, completeness, consistency, accessibility, and security.
Create processing and analysis components and algorithms suited to business requirements, data volumes, complexity, performance, and maintainability needs.
Support data scientists in building and deploying machine learning models and integrate AI-powered features and intelligent automation where appropriate.
Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, product owners, and other stakeholders to deliver software solutions.
Participate in code reviews, promote code quality and knowledge sharing, and apply unit testing and secure coding practices.
Manage data privacy, access control, compliance, risk mitigation, and related controls.
Advise stakeholders, resolve technical problems, and contribute to technology communities and continuous improvement.

Requirements

In-depth technical knowledge and experience in the assigned area of expertise, with a thorough understanding of relevant principles and concepts.
Good programming skills in one or more of Python, Java, C#, SQL, or Scala.
Experience building and maintaining scalable, reliable software applications and services.
Familiarity with Git, Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience or familiarity with data pipelines, data storage, large-volume data processing, algorithms, integrations, and machine learning model support.
Understanding of secure software development, data privacy, access control, compliance standards, risk and controls, and software quality practices.
Ability to collaborate across teams, communicate complex information, influence decisions, and work with internal and external stakeholders.
Awareness of AI-assisted development tools and modern software engineering practices.
